02 - 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
03 - 1/4 cup milk
04 - 1 large egg
05 - 1 small onion, finely chopped
06 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
07 - 2 tbsp ketchup
08 - 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
09 - 1 tsp salt
10 - 1/2 tsp black pepper
11 - 1/2 tsp dried thyme
12 - 1 tbsp olive oil

→ Sweet Tangy Glaze

13 - 1/4 cup ketchup
14 - 2 tbsp brown sugar
15 - 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
16 - 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

→ Green Beans

17 - 12 oz fresh green beans, trimmed
18 - 1 tbsp olive oil
19 - 1/2 tsp salt
20 - 1/4 tsp black pepper
21 - 1 clove garlic, minced

# How To Make It:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
02 - Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft, about 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook 1 minute more. Let cool slightly.
03 - In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, sautéed onion and garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
04 - Shape mixture into a loaf approximately 8x4 inches on the prepared baking sheet.
05 - In a small bowl, mix together glaze ingredients: ketchup, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and apple cider vinegar.
06 - Spread half the glaze mixture over the top of the meatloaf.
07 - Bake for 30 minutes.
08 - Remove from oven, spread remaining glaze over the top, and return to oven. Bake an additional 15 to 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
09 - Let meatloaf rest 5 to 10 minutes before slicing to retain juices.
10 - Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add green beans and cook 2 to 3 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender. Drain and transfer to a bowl of ice water to stop cooking. Drain well.
11 - Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add green beans, season with salt, pepper, and garlic. Sauté 2 to 3 minutes until heated through.
12 - Serve meatloaf slices with green beans on the side.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Turkey absorbs flavor better than beef, making each bite deeply seasoned without feeling heavy
  • The double-glaze technique creates that caramelized exterior while keeping the inside ridiculously moist
02 -
  • Turkey meatloaf needs to reach 165°F internally, but pulling it at 160°F and letting it rest prevents drying out
  • Adding the glaze in two separate applications creates that beautiful sticky exterior without burning the sugars
03 -
  • Letting the sautéed vegetables cool before mixing prevents the egg from cooking prematurely
  • A meat thermometer eliminates all the guesswork about doneness
