# What You’ll Need:

→ Meat

01 - 1 lb ground beef, 80/20 blend preferred

→ Vegetables

02 - 4 cups broccoli florets, fresh or frozen
03 - 1 small onion, diced
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced

→ Dairy

05 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
06 - 2 tbsp cream cheese

→ Oils & Fats

07 - 2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil

→ Seasoning

08 - 1 tsp salt
09 - 1/2 tsp black pepper
10 - 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
11 - 1/2 tsp dried oregano
12 - 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

# How To Make It:

01 - Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced onion and sauté for 2 minutes until translucent.
02 - Add ground beef and cook, breaking up with a spatula, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
03 - Stir in garlic, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
04 - Push beef mixture to one side. Add remaining oil and broccoli florets. Sauté for 2-3 minutes, then combine everything.
05 - Add 2-3 tablespoons water, cover, and steam for 3-4 minutes until broccoli is just tender.
06 - Reduce heat to low. Stir in cream cheese until melted and thoroughly combined.
07 - Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over skillet. Cover and let sit 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted.
08 - Serve hot, garnished with extra red pepper flakes or fresh herbs if desired.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Everything cooks in one pan so cleanup is basically nonexistent
  • The cheese sauce forms naturally from cream cheese and cheddar no complicated roux needed
02 -
  • Draining excess fat after browning the beef prevents the final dish from feeling too greasy
  • Letting the skillet rest covered after adding cheddar makes all the difference for that cheese pull effect
03 -
  • Pre shredded cheese saves time but shredding it yourself from a block gives you that restaurant quality melt
  • If the broccoli seems dry before steaming add another splash of water rather than more oil
