Chicken Club Sandwiches (Printable)

Triple-layer stacked sandwiches with seasoned chicken, crispy bacon, fresh vegetables, and creamy mayonnaise on toasted bread.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Chicken

01 - 2 chicken breasts (about 10.5 oz), cooked and sliced
02 - ½ teaspoon salt
03 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper

→ Bacon

04 - 8 slices bacon

→ Vegetables

05 - 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
06 - 8 leaves romaine lettuce

→ Bread

07 - 12 slices sandwich bread (white or whole wheat), toasted

→ Condiments

08 - 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
09 - 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard (optional)

→ Other

10 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (for toasting, optional)

# How To Make It:

01 - Season the cooked chicken breast slices evenly with salt and black pepper.
02 - In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels to remove excess grease.
03 - Lightly butter the bread slices and toast them until golden brown and crispy, if desired.
04 - Lay out 3 slices of toasted bread per sandwich. Spread mayonnaise (and mustard, if using) on one side of each slice.
05 - On the first slice, layer romaine lettuce, tomato slices, and half of the sliced chicken.
06 - Top with a second slice of bread, mayonnaise side down. Add more lettuce, tomato slices, and 2 slices of crispy bacon.
07 - Place the third slice of bread, mayonnaise side down, on top to close the triple-decker sandwich.
08 - Secure the sandwich with toothpicks at opposite corners to prevent layers from shifting.
09 - Slice the sandwich diagonally into halves or quarters for easy serving.
10 - Repeat the assembly process for the remaining sandwiches. Serve immediately while bread remains crispy.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The triple stack feels indulgent but comes together in under 30 minutes
  • Crispy bacon and tender chicken create the most satisfying texture combo
  • Perfect for feeding a hungry crowd without spending hours at the stove
02 -
  • Toothpicks in opposite corners prevent the sandwich from falling apart when you slice it
  • Assembly right before serving keeps the toasted bread from getting soft and sad
03 -
  • Pat tomatoes dry with paper towels before layering to prevent the dreaded soggy middle
  • Let the assembled sandwich rest for 2 minutes before slicing so everything settles
