Spicy shredded chicken on soft buns topped with creamy ranch and crisp veggies for casual gatherings.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Chicken

01 - 3 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded (about 2 large breasts or rotisserie chicken)
02 - 2/3 cup Buffalo wing sauce (such as Franks RedHot)
03 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

→ Slider Assembly

04 - 12 slider buns or small soft rolls
05 - 6 slices cheddar cheese, halved (or 12 slices if using pre-sliced for sliders)
06 - 1 cup shredded lettuce
07 - 1/2 cup thinly sliced red onion
08 - 1/2 cup thinly sliced celery

→ Ranch Dressing

09 - 1/2 cup mayonnaise
10 - 1/4 cup sour cream
11 - 2 tbsp buttermilk (or milk)
12 - 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill (or 1 tsp dried)
13 - 1 tbsp chopped fresh chives
14 - 1 clove garlic, minced
15 - 1/2 tsp onion powder
16 - 1/4 tsp salt
17 - 1/4 tsp black pepper

# How To Make It:

01 - Combine shredded chicken, Buffalo wing sauce, and melted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir constantly until heated through and evenly coated, approximately 5 minutes. Remove from heat and keep warm.
02 - Whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, dill, chives, garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl until completely smooth and well blended. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
03 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Arrange slider bun bottoms, cut side up, on a baking sheet. Place a cheddar cheese slice on each bottom half. Bake for 3 to 5 minutes until cheese is fully melted and buns are lightly toasted.
04 - Spoon a generous portion of warm Buffalo chicken onto each cheesy bun bottom. Layer shredded lettuce, sliced red onion, and celery on top of the chicken.
05 - Drizzle ranch dressing generously over the vegetables. Place bun tops on each slider and press down lightly. Serve immediately while warm.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • That moment when everyone reaches for seconds before you have even sat down
  • The homemade ranch makes you wonder why you ever bothered with store bought
02 -
  • The butter in the hot sauce is what makes these taste like they came from a restaurant, do not skip it
  • Let the chicken mixture cool slightly before assembling or the buns will get soggy too fast
03 -
  • Toast the bun tops for 2 minutes while the cheese melts on the bottoms for extra texture
  • Let the ranch come to room temperature before drizzling so it flows evenly over everything
